Indispensable online global training resource

Background

A manufacturer set up an international consultancy business to provide advice and support on asset integrity and safety issues to engineers and managers of overseas gas companies.  This enabled international companies to benefit from the client’s experience of technological changes and advances that the UK had already undergone.

The brief

Using its extensive knowledge of the client’s sector, The Niblett Whellams Partnership (TNWP) developed a microsite for the international consultancy, which included a training hub providing 24/7 access to content, including videos, designed to help improve knowledge and understanding.

Engagement with overseas business

TNWP worked closely with the client to help cement its relationship with a key global account by providing a vital bespoke training resource.

Campaign overview

The development of the microsite was in three phases:

Phase one:

  • Development of brief
  • Commissioning web developer
  • Production of design and content
  • Sourcing images

Phase two:

  • Development of training hub

Phase three:

  • Creation of a management information system
  • Development and launch of knowledge hub

Evidence of success

The development of the knowledge hub provided the client with an online channel which was available 24/7 to engineers around the world.  This was increasingly seen as indispensable by the key global account and demonstrated the client’s ability to provide bespoke services internationally, whatever the challenge.
